Date the trim comparison
The 2024 launch introduced Pro and Max. The 2025 update changed driver-assistance hardware, including equipment on the Pro version. This means a simple rule learned from an early vehicle may be wrong for a later candidate carrying a familiar name. The model-year guide gives the chronology needed to frame the comparison.
For newer offers, request the manufacturer’s actual designation rather than forcing the car into an old trim structure. Keep the seller’s original description and supporting configuration information. The purpose is to identify the vehicle clearly, not to maintain a convenient but potentially misleading two-column comparison.
Separate equipment from service availability
Compare confirmed cabin equipment, relevant hardware and supplied items. Where a feature matters, obtain current photographs or a demonstration on the offered car. Do not turn a visible sensor into proof that every associated software function operates in the destination.
Driver-assistance capability has operating limits and dependencies. Describe verified hardware separately from services and functions that remain unconfirmed. The software and support guide addresses language, accounts, regional services and appropriate evidence. Avoid advertising a driver-assistance feature as a guarantee of autonomous operation.
Make a customer-led requirement list
Ask the customer to rank essential cabin functions, driving support needs and aftersales expectations. Some buyers prioritise documented condition and straightforward support over an extra convenience feature. Others require a specific function and need it demonstrated before acceptance. Those are different briefs and should produce different comparisons.
List each item as confirmed, optional, absent or unverified. Do not let a longer equipment description obscure weaker condition evidence. A used Max and a new Pro, for example, differ in more than trim; their status and inspection requirements need separate treatment.
Compare the whole offer
Set preparation, included accessories and delivery scope beside the specification differences. A nominal trim premium does not establish value without that context. If support or warranty terms are offered, identify the responsible party and applicability to the vehicle and destination.
Use the inspection record for the actual candidate and keep accepted differences in the purchase file. When a seller substitutes another car, repeat the relevant equipment checks. Approval of one Pro or Max does not certify every car bearing the same name.
Example: a claimed hardware difference
A dealer remembers an early comparison and assumes a later Pro must lack a particular sensor. The correct response is to review the dated manufacturer update and the offered vehicle’s evidence. Do not repeat the old comparison as a universal rule. Once the fitted hardware is established, assess which functions and services are supported for the customer’s destination. Keeping those two steps separate prevents both an inaccurate equipment description and an unsupported promise about software operation.
