CHAPTER 1

Name the buyer's functional priority

Clarify which assistance function is mandatory and which is preferred. The production-period trim guide prevents an early comparison being applied universally. A familiar badge can describe another hardware scheme when the period changes.

Do not make a list of sensors the whole purchase brief. The customer needs a supported benefit, not merely more visible equipment. Keep applicable instructions and limitations. An unrelated entertainment or cabin option cannot silently compensate if the required function remains absent or unconfirmed.

CHAPTER 2

Establish actual hardware without inventing capability

Request appropriate configuration records and candidate evidence. A photograph can support identity while leaving operating condition and eligibility unresolved. Do not infer one system's capability from another similar-looking unit or from a recent manufacturer presentation.

The software and destination review keeps installed hardware separate from provider-dependent availability. A seller's demonstration under its own arrangement may not establish the receiving user's access. Leave relevant support questions pending until the responsible provider supplies an applicable answer.

CHAPTER 3

Use suitable demonstrations and assessment

Ordinary operation should follow appropriate instructions and competent assistance. Never attempt a dangerous manoeuvre to provoke intervention. A short warning-free clip cannot establish every fitted function or replace qualified assessment where a fault is reported.

The camera evidence guide retains a related observation within its own scope. Disclosed work involving relevant areas should have provider-defined follow-up checks. Do not assume every repair caused a problem or that cosmetic quality proves all necessary verification was completed.

CHAPTER 4

Compare useful value after support and work

A higher amount should earn the mandatory supported function or another benefit the customer wants. Price assessed preparation as a completed scope and retain unconfirmed work. A guessed sensor or software remedy cannot make the option operational in the accepted specification.

The commercial reconciliation guide keeps vehicle, work and transfer stage consistent. Avoid autonomous-driving, guaranteed-protection or universal resale claims. A simpler supported candidate can be relevant where the buyer accepts the difference; a mandatory system may require another identified offer.

CHAPTER 5

Hardware-led interest with an unconfirmed function

Suppose the seller emphasises a more elaborate hardware description, while the buyer actually requires one supported assistance function. Resolve the configuration and applicable availability for that function before assigning the premium. The hardware list and a successful unrelated demo do not answer it.

If the function remains pending, retain that status or seek another proposal. Keep the accepted system description and limits through handover so the retail claim cannot become stronger than the evidence. A replacement period or build needs renewed review, even if the supplier repeats the same trim name.

Evidence to keep with the decision

  1. Identify the offered car's production context and original hardware specification before evaluating a premium. Preserve supporting material for the actual system rather than copying a generic Pro or Max hierarchy across periods; familiar trim names do not establish identical installed components or supported functions.
  2. Write which practical function the customer wants and under what supported conditions it is intended to operate. Keep a hardware observation separate from function availability; the presence of a particular sensor or other component alone cannot establish every capability claimed in a seller's description.
  3. Retain the relevant software, account and receiving-user answers alongside configuration evidence. A demonstration under the seller's current arrangements may leave transfer or destination questions unresolved; label those questions explicitly rather than accepting a menu or promotional video as proof of continuing buyer access.
  4. Keep any operating demonstration within appropriate conditions and retain its actual limits. Do not request hazardous tests or promise autonomous operation from an assistance label; ordinary driver responsibilities and the manufacturer's instructions remain relevant even when the quoted car contains the preferred hardware package.
  5. Attach relevant condition evidence for reported damage, replaced components or faults, using qualified findings where appropriate. Clean bodywork and an ordinary dashboard view cannot demonstrate that all affected hardware is correctly assessed, and an equipment premium cannot turn a pending repair into completed acceptance evidence.
  6. Compare the useful supported function at aligned price and preparation scope. If availability remains unresolved, record whether the buyer accepts the car without valuing that benefit or defers the choice; repeat identity, condition and function questions for any substituted unit instead of approving the badge alone.

Questions buyers ask

Does more hardware establish autonomous driving?

No. Actual functions, instructions, availability and driver responsibility remain distinct.

Can old Pro/Max comparisons apply to every period?

No. Identify the production period and offered equipment first.
