CHAPTER 1

Identify the users' actual routine

Ask whether drivers change frequently and which positions or controls need to be re-established. A sole driver keeping one setting has a different priority from regular shared use. The passenger-use guide keeps other occupants in the brief as well.

Do not collect unnecessary personal data or assume height alone defines each user's needs. State the functional adjustment requirement and which observation would establish it. A general easy-to-share description gives the sourcing team little basis for distinguishing a useful feature from a cosmetic option.

CHAPTER 2

Establish the actual fitted functions

Use the period-specific equipment review and original records to identify adjustment and any required memory arrangement. Similar controls or a badge cannot establish the whole system. Retain later changes and unresolved fields before valuing the option.

If the requested function is not fitted or supported, compare another candidate or obtain explicit acceptance of a simpler routine. Do not promise that an unofficial addition, guessed software change or other unassessed work makes the car equivalent to the requested original system.

CHAPTER 3

Observe the setup safely

Demonstrate appropriate normal operation using the applicable instructions. Record which setting, recall or movement was shown without claiming every possible function. Avoid positioning hands or items within moving parts for an improvised test.

The seat-benefit review keeps comfort modes separate from useful adjustment. Each intended user may need personal fit assessment even after operation is confirmed. A remote demonstration can narrow the choice while leaving the person's actual achieved position unconfirmed.

CHAPTER 4

Connect condition to the shared-use benefit

Ask a suitable provider to assess reported movement or control issues rather than diagnosing a switch from a video. The condition review retains relevant wear, disclosed repair and operating findings with the whole candidate.

Compare the premium after a supported remedy and receiving support are understood. A feature described as useful for sharing has not earned full value if its required operation remains pending. New proposals also need installed specification and delivery checks rather than assuming unused status establishes the requested function.

CHAPTER 5

A company car used by two people

Suppose two drivers need different accepted positions and frequently change use. Identify the actual supported functions, then demonstrate the required routine. A favourable single movement for one observer does not establish both users' fit or the complete memory arrangement.

If the buyer accepts manually adjusting between users, record that narrower benefit explicitly. If memory is mandatory, retain the missing or unconfirmed function as pending. The driver-fit decision addresses another relevant position need. Keep the accepted routine with the actual unit so a replacement cannot inherit it merely from matching seat colour.

Evidence to keep with the decision

  1. Identify each regular driver's adjustment needs and the actual supported memory arrangement. Keep original equipment evidence beside the car reference rather than assuming a memory claim covers all seat, mirror or account behaviour; the intended changeover routine should determine which functions need specific confirmation.
  2. Retain each user's achieved position, including access, visibility and the space left behind the front seat. Do not use the taller driver's result as proof of the smaller driver's fit, or assume comfortable front seating automatically preserves the required position for the regular rear passenger.
  3. Ask for relevant control operation with the setting and user context identified. A successful recall in the seller's current setup is an observation, not proof that every profile or transfer method will behave identically; preserve what was actually demonstrated and which receiving-user question remains unanswered.
  4. Keep ordinary changeover and manual adjustment as separate practical considerations. Record whether the buyers accept re-adjusting relevant controls if the preferred routine is unavailable, rather than allowing an appealing convenience label to hide a driving position that one user cannot comfortably achieve.
  5. Attach seat and control condition findings to the individual candidate, with disclosed work and assessment limitations. Do not credit working recall as a comprehensive electrical inspection, and do not assume an adjustment fault is harmless until appropriate evidence and a supported remedy address the actual problem.
  6. Compare the premium against frequency and benefit of driver changes at aligned offer scope. Preserve the agreed requirement and any accepted manual alternative in the brief; a later substituted unit with the same translated trim still needs its own supported arrangement, operation and driver-position review.

Questions buyers ask

Does memory prove both drivers will fit?

No. Operation and the users' achieved positions are distinct requirements.

Can any trim's seat arrangement be assumed?

No. Establish actual period, equipment and condition for the offered vehicle.
