Separate model period from new status
Record production information, registration status, distance and any disclosed prior use. A newer registration date is not a complete account of the car’s specification or history. The L6 model-period guide helps distinguish a production update from the later events recorded during a vehicle’s life.
Ask the supplier to explain precisely what new means in the offer. Do not assume that an older version is currently available unused merely because it remains within the general sourcing range. A suitable new-stock candidate needs its own evidence rather than inheriting status from a recent advertisement or catalogue page.
Review storage and previous preparation
Request the known storage timeline and any relevant maintenance or pre-delivery work. Ask whether the vehicle moved or received accessories after an earlier check. A satisfactory report at one date does not automatically describe the condition following further standing time or transport.
Have the appropriate provider determine what inspection is needed for the identified vehicle and circumstances. Avoid an arbitrary universal replacement schedule for stored batteries or tyres. The useful record explains actual findings, applicable guidance and completed work, with any remaining assessment clearly assigned before the car is accepted.
Define the charging and powertrain checks
The charging-equipment guide identifies the vehicle, supply and accessory combination. Request an appropriate observed session where it is part of the agreed delivery review. Record the conditions and result; a charging photograph does not establish the full battery condition or destination suitability of every proposed setup.
The extended-range system also belongs within the competent provider’s delivery scope. Ask what operation was checked and whether any concern remains. Do not direct improvised technical tests remotely or assume that new-stock wording removes the need to investigate a warning or an unusual observation made during preparation.
Confirm the actual cabin equipment
Match mandatory functions to the original version information and demonstrate them on the selected car. A later announcement or well-equipped presentation vehicle should not supply missing details in an earlier stock offer. Record fitted hardware separately from regional services that require their own confirmation.
If a language, phone function or particular comfort item determines acceptance, request a clear result rather than a generic all-functions-checked statement. Where the outcome remains pending, keep it visible. The customer may accept an alternative, but that should follow an accurate description of what the selected vehicle provides.
Inspect the condition after agreed work
Ask for dated exterior and interior photographs following final preparation. Disclose relevant repair, transport damage or added equipment in the delivery record. A stock-new description should not conceal work that materially affects the customer’s understanding of the car or the comparison with another proposal.
If a finding was corrected, obtain the provider’s work description and required verification. A planned job is not a completed result. Where further storage or changes follow the check, ask whether any part should be repeated so the release file represents the final vehicle rather than an earlier condition.
Reconcile access items and documents
The L6 access checklist gives physical keys and legitimate account arrangements separate checks. Confirm the supplied count and tested functions, including anything travelling separately. A seller’s active login should not be assumed to provide lasting access for the buyer in another destination.
Keep the final vehicle identity, agreed accessories and relevant records together. If a demonstration used a temporary cable or device, clarify whether a verified item is included. The receiving dealer should be able to compare the delivered set with the actual offer without reconstructing scattered messages about optional equipment.
Close the PDI against the purchase conditions
Ask who performed the inspection, on which date, and which findings determine release. Retain the completed checklist and outstanding actions rather than accepting a blank form as evidence. The budget should identify preparation included in the quotation and any separately agreed work still to be completed.
Send Panda the destination, accepted production range, quantity and mandatory status or equipment requirements. If a replacement car is proposed, repeat the relevant verification for that vehicle. A useful new-stock delivery record connects status, condition, functions and responsibilities; it does not treat the word new as a substitute for them.
