Read the use history behind the distance
Request dated service records, recorded distance and available information about previous operation. Ask whether the account is supported by documents or only described by the seller. A long daily commute, frequent short journeys and intermittent commercial use can raise different inspection questions without proving a fault by themselves.
Do not invent an engine-use proportion from total kilometres. The operating-plan guide explains why charging habits and longer trips belong in the discussion. Where additional operating information is available, have a suitable provider interpret it instead of converting a dashboard field into a universal estimate of engine hours.
Build a chronology rather than a reassurance
Connect invoices and reported work to the vehicle and dates. Identify gaps, contradictory readings and unclear job descriptions for follow-up. A clean service booklet cover or a statement that maintenance was regular does not establish which tasks were completed or whether the records belong to the selected car.
Ask the qualified workshop what is due under the applicable guidance and current condition. Elapsed time and actual use may matter alongside distance. Do not claim that extensive electric driving removes every engine-service requirement, or that a high odometer reading automatically means a particular component must be replaced.
Give the battery report its proper limits
Use the battery-evidence review to request the method, vehicle identity, findings and qualified interpretation. A displayed charge level or estimated range is not a complete health report. A favourable result from one test should not become a promise of a precise number of remaining years or kilometres.
Keep battery-related history with the current assessment. If work was completed, identify what changed and the verification performed afterwards. Appropriately qualified personnel should determine high-voltage procedures; the dealer can request evidence without directing disassembly or unsafe tests merely to obtain a more persuasive sales video.
Inspect wear and operation across the car
Ask for a competent review of the relevant mechanical systems, body, cabin and required functions. Higher use can make the condition of frequently handled equipment commercially important even when the powertrain has no diagnosed concern. Record observations and technical conclusions separately rather than turning cosmetic wear into an unsupported mechanical diagnosis.
The wheel and tyre budget helps price one specific preparation category. Other findings need their own scope. A replacement tyre allowance should not conceal an unresolved vibration, and a clean interior should not be treated as proof that the whole vehicle has been lightly used.
Price known work before judging the discount
Obtain the responsible provider’s diagnosis, proposed work and required completion checks for material concerns. Keep routine preparation, confirmed repairs and uncertainty separate. A lower purchase price is not a finished-cost advantage if the dealer has not established the work needed to reach the customer’s accepted condition.
Ask about support for the exact application at destination. A broadly familiar model does not guarantee that a local workshop can perform every relevant job. If an essential repair route is unconfirmed, keep the candidate conditional instead of assigning an optimistic allowance and assuming the receiving dealer will resolve the rest.
Respect the retail customer’s requirements
Some customers have a firm mileage limit regardless of the inspection outcome. Others may accept more use in exchange for documented condition and a suitable price. A satisfactory assessment does not override the customer’s accepted specification; record that preference early so the sourcing comparison remains relevant.
Consider a documented higher-mileage L6 beside a lower-mileage offer with missing history and an unresolved concern. Neither should win solely on its odometer. Compare the available evidence and complete preparation scope, then explain the trade-off without promising that documentation guarantees future reliability or that low mileage guarantees good condition.
Make the acceptance file vehicle-specific
Tell Panda the destination, budget basis, accepted year range and whether higher mileage is acceptable subject to an agreed review. Request the service chronology, current condition record and any specialist evidence material to the decision. State which unresolved findings would prevent acceptance.
Retain the final work records and repeat relevant checks if repairs or a substitute change the proposal. The useful result is a clearly described used car with an understood preparation and support position. It should not be an unsupported claim that every L6 below or above an arbitrary mileage threshold is a good or bad purchase.
